How do the Ryzen APUs with Vega-based integrated graphics perform against the competition - 4 different entry-level dGPUs stacked up and compared to Ryzen 3 2200G Vega 8 and Ryzen 5 2400G Vega 11 with stock and OC clocks.
The benchmark suite contains a good mix of games, all tested at 1080p resolution with low to medium settings to strike a balance between visuals and performance.
Demanding benchmark as the game features advanced rendering methods to boost visuals - would have been cool to have other locations of the game in the benchmark as well. The systems stack up as one should expect - the two mid-range dGPUs followed by the two entry-level graphics cards with Vega APUs coming in last.
One of the best built-in benchmarks ever as it simulates real gaming / racing scenario. Vega APUs perform really well, offering the performance of the RX 550.
It's a pity that the bland built-in benchmark falls short of depicting how great looking the game really is. AMD and Ubisoft teamed up to deliver extra performance for the Vega dGPUs in Far Cry 5 - when OCed, Vega11 delivers the same performance as the entry-level dGPUs.
AMD graphics solutions truly shine in R6S. The Vega APUs are a match for the entry-level dGPUs, the RX 560 overpowers the GTX 1050 at the top of the chart.
Tomb Raider runs best on NVIDIA hardware as NV dGPUs outperform their AMD rivals in their respective performance tier.
The gap between the 11 CU and the 8 CU variant of the Ryzen APUs is in the range of 15-25%. An interesting note: the delta is bigger in games where the RX 560 also performs well. The 2200G achieves 20% better scores with 1600 MHz gfx clocks compared to stock clocks.
