RX 580 vs GTX 1060 Frame Time Analysis - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided DX11 & DX12 [GOLEM CITY]

The first big mission away from Prague takes places in The Utulek Complex in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Adam Jenson was tasked to bring in Talos Rucker, the leader of ARC. The mission looks superb - shading, dynamic lighting is spot on and many NPCs make the world alive.

The built-in benchmark has the same setting / location and as you might recall we didn't find too much difference between the performance of DX11 and DX12 - both the FX-8370 and Ryzen 1600 system showed similar results. Even our gameplay from Prague exhibited the same characteristics. This time around DX12 is 3-5% faster on average. The 3rd scene (market) shows remarkable improvement on the RX 580 - had to double-check the results as the gain is more than 20%. Don't know what is going on since the "cop-aug confrontation" scene didn't produce the same uplift. The frame times in the "ARC-welcome" cut-scene are rock solid, which is a bit strange considering the dynamism of the plot - don't read too much into it, might be some engine-quirk that limits the frame rate.
