GTX 1060 vs RX 480 Frame Time Analysis - For Honor [KNIGHT'S STORY MODE]

We head back to the age of fearsome mediaeval warriors to evaluate Ubisoft's action fighting game with NVIDIA's GTX 1060 and AMD's RX 480. We play through the initial part of the Knight's Story Mode - our benchmark sections consist of a sightseeing tour around the breathtaking Citadel Gate map, the into in-engine cut scene from "The Blackstone Legion", plus a jog to the Viking stronghold in the very same mission.

The average fps results from the two different missions indicate that the latter has a more demanding scenery - albeit it has way less NPC soldiers, the vegetation with added geometrical complexity and alpha textures could demand more from the GPUs. The RX 480 is faster by a whisker around Citadel Gate, the forest scenery favours the 1060, it has a 4% advantage over the AMD card.
