In the coming days we are going to take a tour on the battlefield and test the performance of CPUs with integrated graphics running DICE's first-person shooter video games. First up, we have a look into BF3. Although released in 2011, the game still looks stunning. As usual with demanding games, we went for the lowest quality preset to achieve reasonable frame rates.
The benchmark scenes consist of the first sections of the Swordbreaker, Going Hunting and Guillotine single player levels. The A10-7860K analysis revealed some wired frame time spikes at regular intervals. Interestingly, we haven't noticed any anomalies during the recording sessions, so the effect on the overall experience is negligible.
